For the protection of staff & patients & to help control the spread of Corona virus, the following policies and procedures have been instituted at Helix Healthcare:
1  If you have FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS stay home, isolate yourself from the rest of your family AND isolate your family from the community at large.  Remain in isolation until the symptoms resolve (approximately 14-days).
Helix Healthcare is open for URGENT appointments. If you need to be seen by a doctor, call the clinic on 749-4444 to receive instructions on attendance.
2 Please follow all internal and external signs posted at the clinic.
3 Children must attend for consultation with just one parent or guardian and no siblings.
4 Patients with mobility issues must attend with the least number of helpers necessary to ensure their safety.
6 Prescriptions will be refilled over the telephone or by email.

For your protection, inside our facility we have taken the following steps:
- All touchable surfaces have been removed from reception, including products for sale, magazines, and the water dispenser.
- The "sign -in" procedure has been discontinued to reduce the cross-contamination via pens and paper.
- Plastic barriers have been installed between reception staff and patients.
- All office-staff members have been instructed to use gloves at all times; to wash their hands every hour, and to wipe down all surfaces in reception with Lysol disinfectant spray after every patient.
- To allow good "physical distancing", you may be asked to wait in your car before coming into reception in order to allow the previous patient to leave without contact.
- As usual, doctors will take all universal precautions advised by the CDC to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. Note: Your doctor will wear a mask, visor, gloves and possibly a gown during your consultation, and you may also be asked to use a mask and gloves before and/or during your consultation.
Your health and safety is is our primary goal, and we have done everything possible to make your visit to our premises as safe as possible.
